Let us take you to the world of your imagination...
...where anything is possible

Welcoming people into our business and looking after them is like holding your own birthday party every day - fun, exciting and magic! We love to inspire, entertain, even surprise you.
Friendships grow through a love of books and shared reading experiences.

Our beautiful little bookshop is located in a listed building on the famous cobbled hill in the village of Haworth, close to the Parsonage Museum where the Brontё sisters wrote their masterpieces.
It’s totally Diane’s shop …
Her charisma, passion, enthusiasm, warmth, taste and drive permeate all elements of the business. Everything we do reflects this – whether it’s the bright and quirky look and feel of the shop, the curation designed to stimulate and inspire, the welcoming way we interact with all customers or even our upbeat social media presence, it’s Diane through and through.

Products to help you be your best self
Diane personally selects all our fabulous books based on their ability to thrill, inform, entertain and fulfil. We focus on fiction and non-fiction by and about strong women, inclusivity and conservation on both the adult and children’s side of the store. We pride ourselves in being the first to stock the best new titles for you to add to your collection.
Whenever we can, we get hold of special editions, too – signed and with sprayed edges if possible. DO choose a book by its cover!
She also puts together what we’ve been told is one of the UK’s best ranges of the oh-so-cute and collectable Maileg Mice and selects our radical range of feminist T-shirts, too.

Meet the authors …
If you’d like to pick the brains of some of the world’s best authors, have a look at our events page. Whether Crime, History, Fantasy, Humour or the Environment, there are lots to choose from, the vibe is informal and friendly and you can even join by Zoom, if you can’t make it in person.
