An evening with Jack Jewers - Seething Lane 7PM 09SEP26 In person or by Zoom
Seething Lane brings to life the 17th century world of restoration theatre and the fallout from the scandalous affairs of King Charles II - “The Merry Monarch” - by re-imagining Samuel Pepys famous diary to great effect. A historical crime fiction crossover, Seething Lane, balances just the right amount of historical authenticity with sharp, lively, contemporary writing that brings English history into the 21st century.
"Hard to imagine Samuel Pepys being any more interesting than he already was, but Jack Jewers has done it for him, imaginatively, brilliantly and convincingly” Rev. Richard Coles
Jack will be reading from and discussing his novel as well as answering questions and signing copies.
