Sitting here watching the rain patter on the glass and hoping on this grey Saturday that customers will come out to browse and buy our beautiful books and gifts. We have had such a busy couple of weeks.
I have been on an amazing writing course here in Haworth run by: https://brontewritingcentre.uk/
I am thinking of writing my life story, an inspirational journey from dreaming to believing. What do you think?
Then we packed the car including little Willow and headed for The Lake District for a few days down time. Reading, swimming, walking, eating and a few bubbles. It was our 25 wedding anniversary.
Time just flies by. I received my pension letter in the post this week! No chance of that far too many books to read, sell and promote and amazing authors to chat to!
This last week we have been working so hard on the up and coming events here in our shop. Even a Fright Night on Halloween, which will include tarot reading. Do grab tickets for these events as they are selling fast and we have limited space.
Next job is off to do a Halloween window display before the shop opens. Retail is a strange place to be in, boxes of Christmas books, mice and gifts have been arriving all week, I said 'nooo we haven't done Halloween yet' so I best get on with it!
Then tonight Ian and I travel to Hinckley to The Gardners Trade Fair to find out more about the book industry, listen to guest speakers, meet authors and plan for 2026.
I will pop lots of photos on socials so until we meet again, be kind and be safe.
